Meet The Bloggers

Meet AQ aka LoveAQ or Aqueelah.

AQ

The Owner & Starter of this WONDERFUL NATURAL BLOG! From Bridgeport, CT && lived in the DMV for some time. Natural since March 2008 and vegetarian since March 2009, AQ is slowly making a natural, healthier lifestyle for herself. A communication major for advertisement, and a love for photography and marketing, she thought what better way to promote the Natural Hair Movement then by tumblr. Never did she think this tumblr would hit off so quick or be soo much of an inspiration for women and men alike going natural or already natural. And maybe one day she can move Kinky.Curls to a whole new place and have a networking website.

Meet MaeLee aka MLee aka The.Photographer

She goes by the 3Ps: Photography, Poetry, && PR && is natural woman herself. Once a faithful reader of this blog, she now contributes to many post herself. Her photography is bad and nothing to be slept on. She is also the co-owner of BLACKstar Media and co-host their online radio every Wednesday night. Check them out.

Meet Brandy aka beautifulhoneyb

From Dallas, Texas; she went natural and did the big chop at 19 just to try something different and ended up falling in love with it and decided to never put a perm on her hair again. She felt really free when she cut her hair and decided to make life changes so her thoughts were if she was to be a natural and wanted her hair to grow healthy and long, she would have to change her eating habits. She also started to know more about herself and how to take care of herself…and still learning more. She’s glad to become a NATURAL HAIR BLOGGER and tell people what she does and how she has learned and discovered things about natural hair. :D

Meet Anna aka Colormehbad

Young Chef and soon to be restaurant owner, one day. Came into her newfound naturalness when she started transitioning June 2010. She BC’d January 1st 2011. Future Fairleigh Dickinson University Graduate staying on her grind to succeed. Looking to make her place in the world and be able to add her own little niche in life. Dont let her graceful swag fool you<3

Meet Tenisha aka

College student from Georgia. She is currently attending the Savannah College of Art & Design, majoring in graphic design and minoring in Fibers/Fashion Marketing. She is an innovative freelance graphic designer and enjoys singing, dancing, drawing, fashion, photography, writing, and basically anything that contributes to the growth of her creative mind. Tenisha began her natural hair journey in December 2010 and has been pursuing (and loving) a more natural and healthy lifestyle ever since.

Meet Dez aka DezCurls

Natural since 2010. She never knew how to care for her hair so it started breaking and falling out underneath all of her weaves. She started paying attention to her hair in April 2012, so that’s what she considers her “natural birthday”. She got tired of wearing weaves and wanted to embrace her own hair. She will begin her undergraduate studies this fall in DC. She considers herself to be a bit of a product junkie because she loves experimenting with new products, especially all natural ones.

Meet Andrea aka amordrea

Newly Natural, Andrea attends Xavier University of Louisiana, and loves every moment thus far of her natural journey. She loves trying out new products and doing research on what other people use and do with their hair. She can’t wait what this natural journey has in store for her.

Embracing Natural Kinks && Curls Everywhere! A blog on natural hair, the products that help us deal with our kinks and curls, and the ups and downs of it all.
